About 108.bt
You place a selfie, your photos, your social accounts and one prayer among the hundred and eight chortens. Everything stays private until the reveal.
108.bt is operated by 21 Tech Gelephu, on behalf of Project 108, Gelephu Mindfulness City. It accompanies the raising of one hundred and eight chortens at Gelephu Mindfulness City.
The hundred and eight are raised for everyone. Nobody is given a number. What you place belongs to the whole, and it stays dark until the reveal.
By signing in and placing anything, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
The dates
- 23 October 2026: collecting opens.
- 1 November 2026: the hundred and eight are raised at Gelephu Mindfulness City, all of them in a single day.
- 15 November 2026, 23:59: everything closes and seals.
- 21 February 2027: the reveal. What you placed opens.
Taking part
One person, one offering. Each person places one selfie, up to 10 photos and one video, their social accounts and one prayer. Nothing else is asked of you.
Signing in. You sign in with your phone number or email. We send a six-digit code by SMS or email. There is no password to remember.
On a shared device. If you take part on a device someone else will use next, choose "Sign out" when you are done. Everything on it is cleared for the next person.
What you place
- One selfie. Camera only, so it is really you: taken there and then, with no gallery upload. You can retake it until 15 November.
- Up to 10 photos and one video. Your video can be up to 100 MB. Whatever you add stays private until the reveal. You can delete any until 15 November.
- Your social accounts. You can link your social accounts, or none. If you link TikTok and agree to posting, we may post your approved photos to it.
- One prayer. In Dzongkha or English, signed with your name, and sealed for as long as you choose.
Other people in your photos
We do not blur faces. Ask anyone in your photos before you add them, and leave out anyone who would rather not be seen.
What is shown, and when
Nobody sees what you placed while the collecting is open.
- Until 21 February 2027: everything stays private, and every photograph stays sealed.
- On 21 February 2027: your photos become public, together with everything else placed at Gelephu Mindfulness City.
- Your social accounts: not shown on 108.bt before the reveal.
Your sealed prayer
Only the first four words of your prayer are ever shown early. They stay visible from 21 February 2027. The rest stays sealed for as long as you chose:
- opened with everything else, on 21 February 2027; or
- kept sealed for 1 to 108 years, counted from the reveal. A prayer sealed for 7 years opens on 21 February 2034.
Your prayer is signed with your name.
Changes, until 15 November
Until 15 November 2026, 23:59, you can retake your selfie, delete any photo, change your social accounts and what is posted to them, and edit your prayer and how long it is sealed.
After that, nothing can be changed in the app. A contribution can be hidden from view, and you can still ask for it to be deleted, as set out in our Privacy Policy.
Using 108.bt fairly
Place only what is yours to share. Please don't place anything unlawful, hateful or abusive, anything meant to harm another person, or anyone else's private details, such as their phone number or address.
If something breaks these terms, we may hide it or remove it.
What is yours
What you place stays yours. By placing it, you give Project 108 permission to keep it, to show it on 108.bt from the reveal, and to include it in the permanent record of Project 108. We use it only for Project 108.

If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian before taking part.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will update the date at the top of this page, and show important changes on 108.bt.
